State-wise analysis of marriage and divorce rates:
- From the above data, it can be seen that the proportion of some states is quite high, while some states show more percentage of elder people who are getting married. For example, in the states like Florida and Nevada, the rate of marriage is high, while in the states like Maine and Michigan, marriages are comparatively less in numbers.
- In some states like Michigan, marriage rates are declined but divorce rates are increasing with a steady growth
- The most populated states like New York and Texas show higher rates of both marriage and divorce.
- Some states like Wisconsin show an increase in marriage rates over the years, but a fall in divorce rates.
- Most of the states show a similar growth in both marriage and divorce rates.
- In the states like Missouri and Virginia, the divorce rate is approximately half of the marriage rate. Some more states such as Tennessee, North Carolina show the same trend about divorce rates. In the state of North Dakota, the divorce rate is quite low when compared to the marriage rate.
In this way, the data related to marriage and divorce rates is analyzed. It is necessary to study marriage and divorce rates, as it is the way to interpret the cultural and social changes in the society.
