Dissolution of marriage will only be granted if reasonable efforts for reconciliation have been made. If the court deems there is some reasonable possibility of reconciliation, dissolution of marriage actions may be transferred to a conciliation court or the spouses may be referred to a qualified marriage counselor, family service agency, or other agency which provides conciliation services. Official conciliation counselors are available in counties of over 250,000 persons. [Revised Statutes of Nebraska; Chapter 42, Sections 360 and 808].

An agreed divorce, as the name suggest is agreed by both the spouses. Spouses generally agree upon a few terms such as property distribution, parental responsibilities and child custody. In this kind of divorce both the parties have to sign the divorce papers and should be present for all the court hearing.
